At Ignite Dance Competition, we believe dance is more than performance — it’s about building community. Our mission is to create a space where dancers feel inspired, valued, and recognized, while celebrating the teachers and choreographers who guide them.
We are looking for team members who:
- Are Experience-Minded: The Ignite team works to create the best experience for our dancers, families, and studios each weekend.
- Have Integrity: Ignite team members lead with honesty and humility whether it's a convention class, tabulating awards, or welcoming dancers and their families.
- Practice Servant Leadership: Ignite team members continually go above and beyond to serve our dancers, families, and studios at each event.
What we are looking for:
- A love for dance and a genuine commitment to dancer success
- Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S.
- Based in the Southeast region, near a major airport (due to event locations)
- Reliable transportation and comfort with traveling (plane, train, rideshare, or car)
- Prior dance competition experience preferred, but not required
- Professional attitude, appearance, and conduct
- Team-player mentality with strong communication skills
- Ability to stay energized during long event days (14–16 hours) with limited breaks
- Must be able to travel Friday morning and home again Monday morning
- Holds a clean criminal record

We are seeking dynamic and knowledgeable Judges who share our commitment to fostering growth in the next generation of dancers. As an Ignite judge, you’ll play a key role in shaping the competition experience by providing constructive feedback, fair scoring, and professional insight.
The Crew
Our Crew Members are the heartbeat of each event, ensuring every competition runs smoothly and leaves dancers, families, and studios with an unforgettable experience. From announcing routines to managing backstage flow, each team member embodies integrity, teamwork, and a passion for dance.
- Emcee – Be the voice of Ignite, announcing routines and managing sound equipment
- Backstage Manager – Keep the competition running on time by checking in routines and overseeing the backstage area
- Awards – Organize and distribute trophies and awards with precision and energy
- Photographer/Videographer – Use professional equipment to capture every moment of each performance
- Merchandise – Greet dancers, families, and studios while managing Ignite merchandise sales
- Tabulator – Monitor scores and assist the judges with accuracy and professionalism
- Social Media – Capture and share engaging content to showcase the weekend in real time
