We are seeking dynamic and knowledgeable judges who share our commitment to fostering growth in the next generation of dancers. As an Ignite judge, you’ll play a key role in shaping the competition experience by providing constructive feedback, fair scoring, and professional insight. What you’ll do:

  • Provide constructive, encouraging, and actionable feedback through our digital adjudication system
  • Use your expertise to inspire dancers and guide them toward growth
  • Represent Ignite with professionalism, positivity, and a genuine passion for the art of dance

What we are looking for:

  • Must be 18+ and eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to fly out of a major US airport (not regional)
  • Based on the East Coast due to event locations
  • Experience as a dance educator, performer, or choreographer
  • Knowledge and comfort with a wide range of styles from tap to hip hop to ballet (and everything in between)
  • A heart for mentorship: a genuine passion for developing dancers and supporting the dance community
  • Reliable transportation and comfort with traveling (plane, train, rideshare, or car)
  • Prior dance competition experience preferred
  • Professional attitude, appearance, and conduct
  • Team-player mentality with strong communication skills
  • Ability to stay energized during long event days (14–16 hours) with limited breaks
  • Must be able to travel Friday morning and home again Monday morning
  • Must be able to commit to at least 3 weekends (February-May)
  • Must be able to pass a background check

What's in it for you:

  • Competitive hourly pay starting at $25/hr
  • All travel expenses covered, including flights, mileage, hotel, and meals
  • Earn airline miles when you fly
  • Earn hotel nights when you stay
