The Ignite Team continues to work diligently to keep our dancers, families, and staff safe. The health & safety of all participants and attendees is a top priority and we are making every effort to minimize the risk to compete again while complying with local, state, and CDC guidelines. Below is what you can expect from Ignite this season. We are continually evaluating our health & safety protocols to provide the safest environment for all attendees. We will send out the finalized protocols for each city 10 days in advance. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our team directly. We are looking forward to a great season!
We ask that any attendee that has flu-like symptoms to please not attend the event. We highly encourage studios to check the temperature of their dancers each day. Ignite faculty and staff will have their temperature taken upon arrival each morning. Dancers who are sick and unable to attend will receive a full refund or credit to a future Ignite tour date.
Each of our venues are operating at 50% capacity or less for the safety of our dancers and to meet social distancing guidelines. This will allow dancers and families to continue practicing social distancing throughout the weekend.
Face coverings are required for attendees and performers (when they are not performing) for the safety of all participants. The Ignite team will be wearing masks at all times.
Hand Sanitizer stations can be found at the entrance and exit of each venue. There will be additional hand sanitizer stations in each dressing room. Dancers and families are encouraged to frequently wash their hands throughout the day.
Each of our 2021 Venues has assured us they will have increased cleaning of all surfaces, elevators, doors, etc. throughout the day. There will be clearly labeled doors for entering and exiting the venue and larger dressing room spaces to meet social distancing guidelines.
Dressing room spaces will be expanded to help comply with social distancing guidelines. Studios will need to limit the number of parents helping with costume changes.
When needed, Ignite will have more frequent award sessions in order to accommodate smaller groups of dancers to comply with social distancing guidelines.
No scoring deductions will be given for costumes including masks, gloves, or protective equipment during a routine.
The stage floor and backstage will be cleaned and disinfected multiple times throughout the day.
Refunds are at the sole discretion of Ignite Dance Competition. If an Ignite event is cancelled due to the pandemic, a full refund will be provided to the studio, if we can not provide a rescheduled date that works with your studio's calendar. Independent entries are non-refundable.
